Campbell & Levine's most visible roles in bankruptcy cases have involved its representation of clients who were high-profile professional athletes. In one case, the representation of Mario Lemieux, holder of a $30 million claim for unpaid compensation against the Pittsburgh Penguins, the firm drafted, negotiated, and obtained confirmation of Mr. Lemieux's Plan of Reorganization for the franchise, resulting in Mr. Lemieux taking over ownership of the team and its continued operation in the City of Pittsburgh (How The Goal Was Scored). In the other, the firm drafted, negotiated and obtained confirmation of a reorganization plan which allowed a legendary Pittsburgh Steeler to implement an arrangement whereby he retained his former Super Bowl rings while paying his creditors 100% of their claims. This represents but a small part of the extensive work that the firm has done for its clients in bankruptcy cases on a day-to-day basis since 1981. The following suggests both the scope of that work and the nature of the firm's representations: 1. Debtors-in-Possession Industrial Sharon Steel Corporation Non-Industrial Logan General Hospital 2. Creditor Committees Industrial Mesta Machine Company Asbestos H.K. Porter Company, Inc. Healthcare/Retail Allegheny Health Education and Research Foundation (AHERF) – non-profit hospital system****
